REPORTS TO: Senior Director of Sales & Product – Converse

LOCATION: Dorval / Hybrid Work Model

TRAVEL: Periodic travel may be required.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Product Line Manager (Converse) leads the strategic and operational management of the Converse product line across Canada.

You will own the end-to-end product lifecycle—from seasonal line planning and pricing to in-season performance and inventory optimization. Working cross-functionally with Sales, Production, and Creative, you will ensure assortments are:

  • Market-relevant
  • Commercially successful
  • Aligned with global and regional strategies
  • This role requires a strong mix of analytical rigor, business acumen, and collaboration.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Product Strategy & Merchandising

  • Execute global and regional merchandising strategies to achieve wholesale sales targets
  • Translate strategy into clear assortments by category, channel, and customer segment
  • Conduct competitive analysis and pricing strategy
  • Identify new product opportunities, including trend-driven “hot market” items

Product Line Planning & Lifecycle Management

  • Lead seasonal line planning (SKU count, pricing, forecasts, margin targets)
  • Maintain and optimize line plans to drive profitability and inventory efficiency
  • Ensure accuracy of product data and style master files
  • Contribute to seasonal catalogue development and product storytelling

Operations & Production Coordination

  • Manage merchandising calendars to ensure on-time execution (forecasting, sampling, purchasing)
  • Partner with Domestic Production to align timelines, quality, and delivery
  • Oversee inventory health, including stock rotation and sample management

Business Performance & Sales Support

  • Analyze sales performance and support regional sales strategies
  • Contribute to financial planning (sales, margins, inventory, profitability)
  • Develop product presentations and tools to support sales teams and key accounts
  • Coordinate sample logistics and support trade show execution

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Merchandising, Marketing, or related field (preferred)
  • 5+ years of experience in merchandising, buying, assortment planning, or similar
  • Experience in retail or wholesale environments
  • Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical capabilities
  • Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Excellent organization and project management abilities
  • A commercial mindset—balancing data insights with market intuition
