POSITION SUMMARY

The Logistics & Supply Chain Coordinator is responsible for coordinating international inbound shipments, customs clearance, and logistics activities for products imported into Canada. This role ensures the efficient, compliant, and timely movement of goods from global vendors to distribution centers while supporting sales, operations, and customer fulfillment.

The Logistics Specialist works closely with internal teams and external logistics partners to track shipments, maintain accurate documentation, resolve transportation issues, and ensure deliveries align with operational and customer timelines.

This position is ideal for a highly organized professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys managing the operational details of global supply chains.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

International Logistics Coordination

  • Coordinate inbound international shipments into Canada including air, ocean, containerized, LTL, and FTL freight.
  • Arrange pickup and delivery schedules for all inbound shipments.
  • Monitor shipment progress and follow up on logistics activities and customs clearance to ensure timely delivery.
  • Assist with scheduling pickups and preparing documentation for international outbound shipments when required.

Shipment Tracking & Procurement Support

  • Track procurements throughout the ordering and shipping process.
  • Communicate with vendors to obtain production updates and provide estimated arrival dates for incoming goods.
  • Maintain incoming shipment logs and prepare required documentation for distribution centers to receive shipments.
  • Update purchase orders and internal tracking systems with accurate and current shipment information.

Customs & Import Coordination

  • Work with customs brokers to support the clearance of all imported shipments into Canada.
  • Monitor customs processes and follow up on clearance issues to minimize delays.
  • Communicate customs clearance issues, documentation concerns, or delivery delays that may impact customer orders.

Vendor, Carrier & Partner Coordination

  • Collaborate with freight carriers, customs brokers, and logistics partners to coordinate shipments and resolve transportation issues.
  • Coordinate with vendors on shipment scheduling, documentation, and delivery timelines.
  • Assist with resolving product defects, shipment damage, or return logistics with vendors when required.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with Product Line Managers, Operations, Distribution Centers, eCommerce, Customer Service, Sales, Production, and Finance to support supply chain operations.
  • Provide shipment updates and communicate potential delivery issues that may affect inventory availability or customer fulfillment.
  • Support Operations and Customer Service teams with shipment tracking and exception management.

Documentation & Financial Accuracy

  • Review and approve freight and customs brokerage invoices for air and ocean shipments.
  • Maintain accurate shipment files including documentation, billing records, and logistics information.
  • Ensure all shipment records and internal databases remain accurate and up to date.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 2–5+ years of experience in logistics, supply chain operations, or international shipping.
  • Experience coordinating international shipments and imports into Canada.
  • Familiarity with CBSA customs clearance processes and import documentation.
  • Experience working with carriers, customs brokers, and global vendors.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems, logistics tracking tools, and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities
  • High attention to detail and documentation accuracy
  • Ability to manage multiple shipments and priorities simultaneously
  • Strong communication and coordination skills
  • Problem-solving mindset with the ability to quickly address shipment issues
