POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking a Senior Product Manager – Headwear to lead the Canadian business for ’47 Brand, a globally recognized leader in licensed sports headwear and apparel, and Fan Favorite.
In this role, you will own the strategy and execution of the headwear category in Canada, from seasonal assortment planning and forecasting through purchasing, inventory management, and in-season performance optimization. Working within a wholesale distribution environment, you will partner closely with sales, creative, and production teams to build assortments that resonate with fans, perform commercially, and align with both global brand direction and Canadian market demand.

This role also presents an opportunity to elevate how the product function operates by strengthening merchandising processes, improving systems usage, and bringing greater structure and collaboration to the category management process.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Product Strategy & Assortment Planning
- Own the Canadian headwear assortment for ’47 Brand and fan Favorite, managing the seasonal product lifecycle from planning through in-season management.
- Execute global and regional merchandising strategies while tailoring assortments for the Canadian market.
- Analyze sales trends, fan demand, and competitive positioning within licensed sports headwear and apparel markets.
- Maintain and manage line plans including SKU counts, pricing structure, margin targets, and forecasts.
- Identify opportunities for in-season product launches and “hot market” opportunities tied to sports moments, team performance, or fan demand.
Forecasting, Purchasing & Inventory Management
- Lead seasonal forecasting and purchasing for the headwear category.
- Monitor category performance and inventory health across wholesale channels.
- Collaborate with sales teams to ensure strong stock rotation and inventory availability.
- Contribute to category financial planning including revenue targets, margins, and inventory levels.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner closely with sales, creative, and production teams to successfully bring seasonal assortments to market.
- Work with the Mint Green domestic production team to ensure production timelines, quality standards, and delivery requirements are met.
- Provide product expertise to internal teams and sales agents during seasonal sell-in periods.
- Support the seasonal catalogue process by ensuring product information, pricing, and positioning are accurate.
Operational Excellence & Process Improvement
- Manage merchandising calendars and timelines across forecasting, sample ordering, and purchasing.
- Maintain accurate product data including style masters and seasonal product documentation.
- Uplift and optimize processes by implementing more efficient tools, workflows, and systems to improve collaboration and product management processes.
Qualifications & Experience
- 5+ years of experience in product management, merchandising, buying, or category management within apparel, headwear, or consumer products.
- Experience working in a wholesale distribution or branded apparel environment strongly preferred.
- Experience working with licensed sports merchandise, fan apparel, or team-based products is a major asset.
- Strong analytical and financial skills with advanced Excel proficiency (to be tested).
- Proven ability to manage assortments, forecasts, margins, and inventory performance.
- Strong cross-functional collaboration skills working with sales, production, and creative teams.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple seasonal timelines and priorities.
- Solutions-oriented mindset with a focus on improving processes and operational efficiency.
· Experience managing headwear, accessories, or apparel product categories within a branded or wholesale environment is highly desirable.
