LOCATION: Dorval
POSITION SUMMARY
The Receiver is responsible for coordinating inbound shipments of apparel, footwear, and sports equipment (golf and tennis). This role ensures all incoming goods are received, inspected, and processed accurately and efficiently while maintaining compliance with company standards and safety regulations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:
- Greet and assist drivers upon arrival at the distribution center; verify delivery documentation and inspect incoming shipments, including returns.
- Authorize unloading once documentation and shipment conditions are validated.
- Coordinate warehouse staff to ensure safe and efficient unloading of trucks and proper placement of goods in designated staging areas.
- Retrieve and review purchase orders (POs) in the system; communicate with Purchasing and Customer Service teams to resolve discrepancies, documentation issues, or return authorizations.
- Generate and print labels as required; document and report any damages in accordance with company procedures.
- Perform detailed physical inspections of incoming goods against purchase orders to ensure accuracy and quality.
- Coordinate the put-away process, ensuring all products are stored according to established location and organization standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while adhering to all health and safety policies and procedures.
- Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and overall distribution center performance.
